NYS certified teachers have gone through extensive training in teaching strategies and their content areas. They are also up-to-date on the current curriculum and assessments.
Margot Tutoring Inc believes that it requires more than a high GPA or high test scores to be able to teach. NTA Certified tutors take multiple training programs to help them learn how to effectively tutor their subject. Many times these strategies are different than the strategies that are used in the classroom since they are meant to be customized to each student.
All of the tutors attend multiple professional development classes every year. This ensures that all of our tutors know the latest state requirements.
Yes. Margot Tutoring Inc is accredited by the National Tutoring Association.
We do not require that you purchase a particular number of sessions. You can pay hourly or purchase one of our packages. The decision is completely up to you.
You can purchase one session at the hourly rate. If you decide to continue you can apply the amount you paid for one session towards any package of your choice.*
All sessions are good for one year from the date of purchase. Sessions can also be shared among immediately family members within the same age group or a younger age group.
Margot Tutoring Inc is in contact with the parents and teachers on a regular basis.
All of the sessions are conducted in your home. We require that an adult (age 18 years or older) be home for the duration of the session.
Elementary School through High School sessions are each a full hour. Pre-K sessions are 30 minutes each.
We provide tutoring Monday- Thursday 12pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-7pm, Saturday 9am-4pm, and Sunday 10am-2pm.
You may receive a full refund for up to 15 days after purchase, before any tutoring sessions have started. After the first tutoring session, you may receive a partial refund up to 7 days after the first session. The price of an individual session will be deducted from the package price. There are no refunds after the second session.
*The first session must have been paid at full price to be able to apply it to a package. The session must be applied to a package for the same age group.
